Our Cause

The mission of the Black Canyon Boys and Girls Club is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Montrose Wine and Food Festival funding opens the door to Great Futures for the children we serve. Your generous donation supports our after-school and summer programs.

Some of the wonderful programs we offer our members are power hour, time dedicated to learning and exploring, Jr. Chef, development of lifelong kitchen skills and healthy habits, triple play, opportunities for structured sports activities. These programs are designed for kids to have fun but to also learn and grow.

  • Annually, the Club serves 460 children ages 6 to 18 in Montrose and Olathe

  • Waiting list to become a Club member in Montrose continues for 5th straight year

  • Daily Average Attendance Montrose = 120

  • Daily Average Attendance Olathe = 30

  • A Club Membership only cost $50 for the school year

  • Operating cost $1,000 per member per year

  • 6,400 summer lunches served in 2017

  • 25,560 after-school snacks served in 2017

Thanks to this fabulous event we can provide a safe and healthy environment at two different locations to families that are committed to building a better life for their children.  Please consider giving and enjoy the Montrose Wine and Food Festival!
